Students’ view of the world impacted profoundly by Dominican Republic expedition
Twenty-five Somersfield Academy students from MYP 4 and 5 embarked on a service trip to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. They visited local communities and a Haitian refugee camp, reflecting on the joy and resilience of those living in poverty, and how the experience changed their perspectives on happiness.

Somersfield Academy's Modern Take on Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’
Somersfield Academy’s Twelfth Night reimagines Shakespeare's comedy with a modern twist, set in a school before prom. Viola, disguised as Cesario, woos Olivia for Duke Orsino, leading to a tangled love triangle with mistaken identities. Ailey McLeod and Aiyetoro Hinds highlight the fresh, fun approach, with some male roles played by girls.
