Somersfield Academy supports a green philosphy across its school-wide operations and executes various ecological initiatives to teach the importance sustainability. Somersfield is currently a member of Eco Schools, the largest global sustainable schools programme, which guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a framework to help embed sustainability principles into the heart of school life. Somerfield’s hands-on eco-program aims to challenge students to solve environmental problems at a level where they can experience tangible results, engages students in collective responsibility and helps to reduce the school’s carbon footprint, which can lead to less costly and more accountable school operations.
