5K Fun Run and Walk: A Day of Fitness, Community, and Support for Education
The Somersfield 5k Fun Run and Walk brought together the community for races ranging from a 400m dash to a competitive 5k run. Olympian and alumnus Tyler Smith presented awards, while proceeds supported the Bursary Fund, reinforcing Somersfield's mission to inspire socially conscious, independent thinkers.

Somersfield Alumnus Domico Watson: From School Success to Spotlight in Sports and Art
Domico Watson, a 19-year-old graphic designer and Somersfield Academy alumnus, excels academically at Savannah College of Art and Design. He recently designed artwork for the Carifta Games and an Olympic commercial, with his work featured on billboards and TV. Passionate about blending art with business, Watson balances his studies with extracurricular activities, inspired by his mother’s drive and ambition.
Students Showcase Creative Personal Projects in IB Exhibition
Nine students from Somersfield Academy's International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme will showcase their personal projects on Friday from 10am to 12.45pm. Projects include kite-making, a photo gallery with poems, a music video, a documentary on youth violence, soccer skills videos, original music, a mural, and a personal identity documentary. Each project integrates an 'area of interaction' such as community service or human ingenuity. The public is invited to attend and view these creative endeavours.
Somersfield Prefects Chosen in Rigorous Process
Somersfield Academy has recently appointed 10 prefects to take on wide range of responsibilities and leadership roles within the school. The prefects were chosen by merit through selection process that included personal interviews with teachers, essays, and character references.
Somersfield Academy Shines with Top Honours in Bermuda National Gallery Student Art Competition
Somersfield Academy excelled in the Bermuda National Gallery's fifth annual student art competition, with its students winning top honours across multiple categories. Edward A. Fischer placed first in Primary 6 with "Life is Art," while Sarah Zurbuchen took first in Middle School with another piece titled "Life is Art." Domico Watson won the Senior School category with "Early Morning Catch." Overall, Somersfield showcased impressive talent and creativity.
