Somersfield Students and Staff Brave the Razor for Cancer Research
Somersfield Academy students, teachers, and parents are volunteering to shave their heads in support of the St Baldrick’s Foundation, raising funds for childhood cancer research. The event, part of the school’s Community and Service Day, has already raised over $15,000 for the cause.
Somersfield Star Squad Jump onto the World Stage
Somersfield Academy's Star Squad made their mark at the World Jump Rope Championships in Orlando, competing against top teams. Despite being novice jumpers, the students, including Yusef, Toby Gibbons, and Hasna Turner, impressed with their skills and set goals for next year's event.
Somersfield Students Compete at World Jump Rope Championship
Eleven Somersfield Academy students, aged 10-14, are competing in the World Jump Rope Championship in Orlando, Florida. Judged on speed, freestyle, & group techniques, the team was inspired by a February workshop with the Comet Skippers. Coaches Sionna Barto & Irene Pimental lead this exciting effort.
Toby Gibbons Shaves Head to Support St Baldrick’s Cancer Fundraiser
Toby Gibbons, a P4 student at Somersfield Academy, is shaving his head for the third time in support of the St Baldrick’s fundraiser, raising money for children with cancer. He’s aiming to raise $4,000 this year.
