Somersfield Academy Students Join UN Conference on Gender Equality
Over March break, DP1 students participated in the UNIS UN Conference on Gender Equality in Manhattan. The conference united over 30 schools worldwide. Students engaged in workshops, debates, and panel discussions, hearing from high-ranking diplomats including Ambassadors of Sweden, Iceland, and Malta.

Somersfield MYP/DP Students Debate Global Issues at GCIMUN
Somersfield Academy delegation of M4 and DP students flew to New York over the weekend to participate in The Global Classrooms International Model United Nations Conference (GCIMUN). Over 1,000 students participated from 37 schools from around the world.
Ten Somersfield Academy pupils attend UN conference
Ten Somersfield Academy students and two teachers attended the 12th annual Model UN Conference in New York on May 11. Over three days, they engaged in debate and discussion on global issues, with speeches from UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and US Ambassador Susan Rice, gaining valuable insights into the UN.
Somersfield students help build a carpentry workshop at Peruvian boarding house
Somersfield Academy students and teachers travelled to Peru to build extensions to a boarding house near Cusco, improving conditions for local children. As part of their Community Service curriculum, they constructed walls for a carpentry workshop and stoves for village homes. The success of the trip has inspired plans for future projects in other developing regions.
