MYP & DP Students Attend Youth Entrepreneurship Summit
Somersfield Academy students recently seized the opportunity to expand their entrepreneurial horizons at the Youth Entrepreneurship Summit held at Pier 6. The summit proved to be an invaluable experience, offering a platform for budding business minds to glean insights from successful entrepreneurs and uncover the secrets to their triumphs.
The event was not merely a passive learning experience; it was a vibrant hub of interaction and collaboration. The students actively engaged with like-minded peers, forming connections that could potentially blossom into future partnerships. Through lively discussions and purposeful activities, attendees honed the skills essential for navigating the rapid currents of today's business landscape.
A standout session involved a stimulating brainstorming exercise where the students identified gaps and opportunities within the entrepreneurial realm. The summit's keynote address was a highlight, delivered by the esteemed Ephraim Salaam. A former 13-year NFL veteran, Salaam seamlessly transitioned into the entertainment industry. Renowned for his on-camera talent with CNN, ESPN, and FOX Sport 1, Salaam's passion for film led him to a successful career in production. Furthermore, his writing talents have been showcased in four shows, including the widely acclaimed series "Bel-Air" for Peacock.
The Youth Entrepreneurship Summit at Pier 6 not only exposed Somersfield Academy students to the wisdom of accomplished entrepreneurs but also provided a practical and hands-on platform for them to apply these insights to their entrepreneurial journey.
