Somersfield Students Make Their Mark at Poetry Slam
In Somersfield's M1 English class, students explored ‘Spoken Word Poems’ under Mrs. Stevens’ guidance. After researching and performing their poems, four students, including Meg Durhager, advanced to the finals. Meg's poem on texting won, highlighted by enthusiastic support from friends and competition against talented peers.
Somersfield Mother And Daughter Win Soup-A-Bowl Competition
Tracey and Kayley Gibbons won the fifth annual Eliza DoLittle Soup-A-Bowl Competition with their tomato, spinach, and basil soup. Kayley, a young budding chef, suggested adding basil to the recipe. She’s also baked for the Eliza DoLittle Society’s feeding programme, sharing her love for cooking with others.
