Somersfield Stays Undefeated with Victory Over Dellwood

Somersfield Academy continued their winning season with a 29-17 victory over Dellwood Middle School in an exciting home game.

The game started fast, with Austin Murphy leading the charge, scoring Somersfields first three baskets to give his team an early lead. He finished the game with 10 points. Jase Davis had another strong performance.

Scoring clutch baskets and leading all scorers with 15 points.

Dellwood showed great determination, closing a 20-point deficit to 10 by halftime, making it a competitive game. But Somersfield responded well, coming out strong in the second half. Maikel DelaCruz made key drives and free throws, putting pressure on the opposing team's defence, while Jack Bull, Mathis Stevens, and John Fontanetta played standout defence for Somersfield, with Jack controlling the boards and helping the team keep their lead.

Somersfield played solid team basketball, passing well and finding open teammates. After weeks of hard work in practice, their offence and team play are coming together at the right time.

Next up is the final league game against Saltus! With an undefeated record on the line, the team is excited for the challenge as they prepare for the playoffs.
