Senior Netball Teams Shine in First League Matches
October 17 marked the start of our senior school netball league, and we're thrilled to congratulate both teams for their stellar performances.
Our Under 16 team secured a strong 12-6 victory against Warwick Academy, while the Over 16 team, missing a few key players, fought hard in a nail-biting match, narrowly losing 5-6—a fantastic result given the circumstances.
A special shoutout to Somersfield alumna Shi-Vaughn Lee, who co-coaches with me. We're incredibly grateful for her time and expertise.
MVPs of the day:
Dezirae Darrell (GD): A powerhouse on defence, dominating rebounds and gaining possession across the court.
Paige Lindo (GS): Outstanding for her precision in long-range shooting.
Naomi Crofton (GA): Swift, agile movement and sharp shooting.
